Quantity Surveyor – New Build Housing Contractor – North West
About the Client
A leading house building contractor with an excellent reputation in the industry and a proven track record of delivering quality homes across the UK.
Due to securing more sites in the North West region, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. You will join a team of professionals who truly excel in what they do, and will have the opportunity to take the commercial lead on a new build housing site, reporting in to a Managing QS.
The sites are located in Liverpool and Lancashire, and will consist of 100-250 new build homes on each. The roles will be site based, and you will report in to a Managing QS who oversees the region.
They are open to meeting candidates from Assistant to Senior level, but contracting housing experience is a must for these roles.
About the Role
You will take commercial responsibility for a new build housing site from start and be responsible for the commercial management of the scheme through to final handover.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Managing the cost of the build,
- Working to targets,
- Controlling budgets and valuations.
- Deliver monthly valuations,
- Complete on site measures
- Assess payments to subcontractors.
- Manage all sub-contract orders on site
- Assist with materials purchase when needed
- Attend various meetings with stake holders including site and commercial.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
New build housing contracting experience (Essential)
Educated to Degree Level in Quantity Surveying (Preferred).
Experience working with JCT Forms of Contract (Essential)
